What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness teaches us to be in the present moment without judgement; just being in the here and now. It is setting an intention to being more aware and awake in each moment and being fully engaged in what’s happening in one’s surroundings with acceptance, and without our critique coming into play.
Sounds easy to write and say but it is not… as our minds can be full and rushing around and we can have looping thoughts, feel disconnected to our bodies, or out of touch with how our breathing is.
However, with support and practical tools that we can use every day, we can get control over our thinking and feel calmer, more focussed, more in the present and more connected with our bodies and therefore improve our health.
I’m running courses and individual sessions on mindfulness.
